Sociocultural trauma (trauma caused by implicit and explicit bias e.g. racism) at institutional/ individual interaction levels impacts schools and educational systems. This harm often goes unnamed and unaddressed. Counteracting sociocultural trauma is central to creating trauma informed schools. This presentation offers key strategies to consider.
