Brian Martins is a Vice Principal at Hart-Ransom Elementary School in Modesto, California where he is in his fifth year as Vice Principal and 6th as athletic director. Prior to his role in administration, he taught in the classroom for fourteen years teaching 4th, 1st and Junior High English/Social Studies CORE.  Brian is an active member of the PBIS Tier 1 Team as facilitator and on the team since PBIS was rolled out at the school. Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Human Resources and Marketing from CSU Stanislaus.  Brian earned his Multiple Subject teaching credential from the University of San Francisco, and his administrative credential and Masters in Education Administration at CSU Stanislaus.  He completed his thesis on the effectiveness of PBIS. Outside the workplace, Brian enjoys traveling overseas and is heavily involved with the Portuguese community in California. He is a leader with the Luso-American Fraternal Federation and teaches a Portuguese youth competitive dance. Brian was recognized by his school district when he was a teacher for the School Bell Award through CTA and recently was awarded as an educator of the year by the Portuguese Education Foundation of the Central Valley.
